Junior Archery Tag Parties

Junior Archery Tag parties at Horsenden Hill Activity Centre are one of our most exciting and popular events for older children. Often referred to as Battle of the Notches, this is a high-energy, team-based party that combines movement, tactics, and friendly competition in a way that children absolutely love.

Designed for ages 9 to 15, Archery Tag is perfect for groups who want something more thrilling and structured than traditional party games. It feels fast-paced, competitive, and properly organised — making it one of our standout party experiences.

What Is Archery Tag?

Archery Tag is a dynamic team game that blends elements of dodgeball with archery. Players use specialist bows and foam-tipped arrows, aiming to hit targets and opposing players while working together as a team.

Each player is provided with:

A face mask
An arm guard
A bow

The equipment is designed specifically for juniors, keeping the game safe while still feeling exciting and action-packed.

How the Party Runs on the Day

Junior Archery Tag parties are fully hosted and professionally run by our experienced entertainers.

After a clear safety briefing and equipment introduction, players are split into teams and guided through a series of Archery Tag games, all led and managed by the host. Games are selected and adapted to suit the group’s age, confidence, and energy levels.

Game formats can include:

Shooters & Stealers
Elimination rounds
Firing Line
Countdown challenges

The host manages rules, rotations, scoring, and transitions, keeping the pace high and the atmosphere competitive without it ever becoming chaotic.

Seating & After-Party Time

All Junior Archery Tag parties include a private outdoor seating area for one hour after the activity. This gives families time to relax, enjoy food and drinks, and continue the celebration once the action finishes.

Indoor or Outdoor – Your Choice

Junior Archery Tag parties are available indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference.

Indoor parties take place inside our heated Sports Dome and are guaranteed to go ahead whatever the weather.
Outdoor parties are hosted in our event area within the Horsenden Hill nature reserve, giving the game extra space and a great open-air feel.

You can choose indoor or outdoor during the booking process.
